Almond milk is a milky drink made from ground almonds. Unlike animal milk, almond milk contains no cholesterol or lactose. Almond milk is a milk substitute created by finely grinding almonds together with water. It enjoys a long history as a popular food.
Ingredients and kitchen wares
- 100 grams or 3.75 ounces blanched almonds
- 2 cups or 1/2 liter water
- sweeten with sugar or honey or dates as you like
- 1/2 large bowl
- cheese cloth or a clean kitchen towel or excellent sieve colander

Tips
- Place almonds in a large bowl and cover with water and dip overnight.
- Drain the water and add the almonds into a blender.
- Pour 1 cups of water into blender.
- Blend until the almonds have completely been paste.
- Place the cheese cloth over a large bowl.
- Pour the liquid over the cloth, then squeeze out liquid onto the bowl.
- Put almonds in the blender again and add 1 cups of water.
- Pour the almond milk into the pot, partially cover and simmer for about 8 minutes under low heat.
- Stir regularly.
- Cool it with refrigerator for 5 days for fresh taste.
