Tropical Pineapple Mango Smoothie

I have not tried this smoothie recipe, it is a submission from one of our readers (submit your recipe). If you try this combination, especially the egg, I’m very curious how this will taste. This is what LiveStrong.com had to say about adding raw eggs in your smoothie.

If you want to add eggs to your shakes and smoothies, try using eggs that have been pasteurized while still in their shells. According to the FDA, an increasing number of stores offer pasteurized eggs. The pasteurization process kills most forms of bacteria found in the raw eggs, making them much safer to eat raw. However, to be safe, you should still cook the eggs if possible, particularly if you are serving them to young children or pregnant women. A dried or liquid egg substitute offers a safe alternative for your smoothies.

Of course, if you have ever eaten raw cookie dough you are consuming raw eggs. If you haven’t eaten raw cookie dough  you are missing out on life. Go out right now and buy some and try it just once. Comment below when you revive from your sugar coma.
